In recent years, a number of over-arching themes have emerged that are of strategic interest to the mathematics and statistics support community in higher education. Therefore the sigma Network has established some new Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that can allow people to collaborate and share experiences and resources relevant to a particular aspect of maths support. The SIGs will draw members nationally and internationally, and will complement the existing regional networking structure of sigma.
Three SIGs were established in 2016/17,with new Evaluation & Impact added in 2019 these have demonstrated their ongoing sustainability by the members’ contribution. The SIGs are themed around:
