The purpose of this booklet is to act as a guide for those interested in setting up or enhancing a mathematics and/or statistics support provision for students (not necessarily students of mathematics or statistics) in addition to their regular programme.

Back in 2014, sigma was able to disburse funding from HEFCE to co-fund the establishment of new mathematics and/or statistics support centres at HE institutions in England and Wales.
