University of Chester. 10.00am – 4.00pm
The University of Chester is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a sigma Network workshop on Maths/Stats Anxiety at our beautiful Queen’s Park Campus on Friday 28th February 2020. The event is aimed at all maths/stats support colleagues who work with students experiencing maths/stats anxiety and wish to learn more, and/or have something to share. The workshop is FREE to attend, with lunch and refreshments provided courtesy of The University of Chester.
Speakers planned for the day include:
*Keynote*: Sue Johnston-Wilder, University of Warwick “Raising awareness and addressing statistical anxiety”
Chetna Patel, De Montfort University
Ellen Marshall, Sheffield Hallam University
Lightning talks and discussion
Delegates are invited to submit a proposal for a lightning talk on the day’s theme, Maths/Stats Anxiety. Each talk should be no more than 8 minutes and provide one or two discussion points for delegates. Ideally, a small amount of interactivity within the talk would be great, too. A standard PC/projector set-up will be available for the lightning talks.
