CETL-MSOR 2026 will take place at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland on 3 – 4 September 2026 with an additional workshop day on the 2nd September.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite submissions for the CETL-MSOR Conference 2026. We are eager to welcome you to Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh on September 3rd and 4th for the 20th CETL-MSOR conference which welcomes colleagues from all aspects of learning, teaching, and support of Mathematics, Statistics and Operational Research within any discipline in higher education.
This year there is an additional workshop day, hosted by sigma on the 2nd September – with half-day and whole-day options available.
All information about the conference and the additional workshop day is available on our conference webpages. We recommend securing your place and, most importantly, accommodation early as Edinburgh is a busy city at that time of year.
Submission Guidelines
For CETL-MSOR 2026, we welcome submissions related to the following themes:
- Assessment in Mathematical Sciences
- Teaching and Supporting Statistics
- Globalisation (e.g. joint programmes, supporting international students, global teaching, decolonisation)
- Teaching and Support with Gen-AI
- Developing Industrial Partnerships and Graduate Attributes
Contributions from other areas of learning and teaching of MSOR will also be considered.
To submit an abstract for a workshop (60 minutes), a presentation (15 minutes + 5 minutes for questions), or a lightning talk (3 minutes plus 2 minutes for questions) please follow this link to the registration and submission page.
